The history of the Czech Republic includes a morose period of soviet communism and it may be this history that was the inspiration for this drink. The Czech vodka “Stalinovy Slzy” may be difficult to pronounce, but when translated into Stalin’s Tears the name is memorable. After struggling to unseal and open the bottle, one shot of this vodka reduced me to tears. A rough drink that only gained a higher score due to the interesting design of its bottle. 37.50% alc/vol.
