If you believe the branding, then V is for Victory. This Polish potato vodka is made from a blend of three varieties of potatoes, is 40% alc/vol and is presented in an attractive bottle. A six times distillation process explains the higher costs. Take a shot and it becomes immediately clear that the Victory after which this vodka is named refers to the featured motif of Jan Sovietsky (King of Poland 1674-1696) and his military victory over the Turks at the 1683 Battle of Vienna. The Victory does not refer to the sensation the drinker experiences. This vodka is so rough that I refused to even finish off my shot.
