Still blue (37/52)

Skyy 90 is presented in a modern and tall, slim bottle which looks good and allows me to award points to this vodka. This is an American 45% alc/vol vodka. Other reviewers talk about the sophisticated distillation process (to 200 proof), the amber winter wheat and the water from the Sienna Mountains, even the velvety texture. One smell of this vodka and my dinner companion refused a taste. Having ventured a shot I did not detect any smooth finish nor clean taste. It was barely drinkable, maybe OK for mixing into a martini, not for a straight shot. The pattern I am detecting is that American vodka is not to my taste and it leaves me still feeling blue.

Overall score: 4 shots out of 10 shot-glassshot-glassshot-glassshot-glass
