French vineyards supply the ‘snap frost’ grapes, but not for wine making. Instead a five-times distillation process in copper pots creates this 40% Alc./Vol Ciroc vodka. The presentation of the bottle is eye-catching and beautiful. A shot of vodka reveals a semi-mild taste that creates an almost astringent feeling on the tongue. It is comfortably warm. The effect is a lasting, slightly bitter aftertaste. Ciroc vodka has a clever tagline of “go against the grain”, but I still believe that grapes are best for wine.
